Wix Studio is the professional version of Wix, a separate platform from the classic Wix Editor, built for agencies, freelancers, and brands that need design precision and developer features. It gives you pixel-level responsive control through custom breakpoints, custom CSS, Figma import, a no-code content management system, advanced animations, and Velo for custom code, all inside one editor your team can still use to make edits.
Wix Studio matters now because it is where Wix is putting its new development, while the classic Editor moves toward maintenance, and Studio sites tend to load faster thanks to improved CDN, image, and CSS handling. It is not automatically the right call: a small brochure site with no custom design or interaction needs can ship perfectly well on the classic Editor, and we will tell you plainly when paying for Studio work would not change your result.

What is the difference between Wix Studio and the Wix Editor?
Wix Studio is a separate, professional platform with custom breakpoints, custom CSS, a no-code CMS, and advanced animations, while the classic Editor is the simpler drag-and-drop builder. Studio gives designers and developers far more control, and it is where Wix is focusing new development. For a simple site with no custom design needs, the classic Editor is still perfectly capable.
Should I move my existing Wix Editor site to Studio?
Only if you need design control, custom interactions, or performance gains the Editor cannot give you, since moving means rebuilding rather than a one-click switch. If your current site works and looks right, the rebuild may not pay off. We audit your site first and tell you honestly whether a Studio rebuild is worth it.
