“But is Wix actually good for business and SEO?”
Short answer: yes, and we'll be straight with you about where it isn't.
The old "Wix is bad for SEO" line is a decade out of date. Today Wix ships clean code, SSL on every site, mobile responsiveness, structured data, sitemaps and Search Console integration, and ranks among the top website builders in independent testing*. More than 200 million sites have been built on Wix*, the majority of them small and growing businesses. It works in the real world, at scale.
Where Wix needs a specialist: technical SEO has guardrails (some URL and schema control is more limited than fully custom builds), heavy apps and unoptimized media can slow a site, and the platform is closed, you can't export a site or change its template after the fact, so it has to be built right the first time.
